don't miss it... Nahant's first 'Diner en Blanc' inspired picnic is this Saturday!
This event is almost sold out— But there's still time to buy tickets to the Nahant Education Foundation first ever mystery pop up picnic in Nahant on June 4th, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 pm.
The event is inspired by the international Diner en Blanc movement that began in Paris over 25 years ago. Since then, it has spread to cities all around the world, including Boston in 2015. Guests bring their picnic dinners. Bring a table and chairs or spread your blanket on the ground. How you'll enjoy your picnic is up to you!
The location will be a secret to the attendees until one hour prior to the event when they will receive an email with the location details. The location will also be posted on the NEF Facebook page and website. Guests will converge, set up their picnics and engage in fine dining, white twinkle lights, and live music.
The Nahant Education Foundation will provide a bar with wine from Vinnin Liquors and Bentwater Beer for sale, and live music by local acoustic duo Lisa Haley and Glenn French. Guests are encouraged to get in the spirit by dressing in creative whites and inviting friends to help you make this a magical night. Looking for packing and setup tips? Check out NEF's Pinterest board for ideas. Assistance will be provided at the venue with parking and setting up tables for those who require it.
Tickets to the event are $25/person and can be purchased online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/whites-lights-summer-nights-ti… or by emailing NEF.
Ticket sales are being limited to 75 adults. All proceeds will benefit the Marine Science Education program at the Johnson School in Nahant.
